Professional profile
Dr Steven Mann qualified in 1989 from The University of Manchester. After his
postgraduate training in North London hospitals, including research years at
St Mark’s Hospital, he was appointed to his current position as a
Consultant Gastroenterologist in 2003 at Barnet Hospital, London. He has a
busy NHS practice incorporating in-patients, out-patients, endoscopy and
emergency medicine.
He is the Trust Lead for Clinical Nutrition, Clinical Lead for Inflammatory
Bowel Diseases, and Endoscopy Training Lead. He also has a large teaching and
training commitment being an Educational Supervisor for a number of
postgraduate trainees.
His private practice at Spire Bushey is easily accessible and personable. He
provides the professional service that private patients are entitled to and
has a first class PA who has looked after the administration since 2003. With
almost 20 years work as a Gastroenterologist and General Physician, Dr Steven
Mann will see patients with all types of gastroenterological problems. He is
proud of the quality of tests available to him In Spire Bushey including all
types of scans and endoscopies.
He has over 20 publications in peer reviewed journals, 20 published abstracts,
and has presented over 20 posters to national or international conferences.

Personal Profile
Dr Steven Mann is married to a teacher and they have three children. When he
is away from hospital, he runs a taxi service ferrying children to and from
school, parties and football. He and his wife are also actively involved in
communal and charitable causes. He is a lifelong Man Utd fan.
